This year as well as the last years a
manifestation called "Vesela ulica" took place. The organizer is
well known Apeiron de Art (organization of young artists of Mostar) and the
coorganizer is the Music Center Pavarotti. In six days the members of Vesela
ulica went to six places: 8th july Mostar, 11 th july Seonice, 13 th july
Bijelo polje, 15 th july Blagaj, 16 th july camp of refugees Dubrava near
Grude, 17 th july Donja Drežnica. The children who participated in Vesela
ulica could express themselves creativily painting, dancing, ,making
instruments, kites and dolls in the workshops.
There were clowns, musicians, and circusants Paul and Elvira. We shuldn't
forget Armin who was in charge of making kites, music and raising the
morality of people. We should mention that the materials we've been using
are mostly old stuffs and waste materials with the purpose that children
develop their imagination and creativity but also their ecological
conscience.
ECHO (European Community Humanitarian Organization) was the general sponsor,
but the office of OHR Mostar as well as the british brigade of SFOR from
Gornji Vakuf also helped. The soldiers talked about the mines and danger
they represent especially for the children.
Sunday 18 th july was reserved for the exhibit of children's works at the
pavillon of the Music Centre Pavarotti and also for the concert where many
bands from Trebinje, Mostar, Scotland and England performed as well as the
dancing group "Flash" from Mostar. Unfortunatily because of the
"very good" traffic and bridges in our state, the lighting that
should have been arranged before the concert only came at the end but it
didn't prevent the atmosphere to be very good ( usually we're not used to it
at similar concerts).
The only thing left is to wish success to Apeiron de
Art and Vesela ulica for next years to come.
