HOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO

I have just returned from the out wet as mouse because rain caught me on the half way. It was an ordinary night just as all in Mostar, but while we were in some cafe we had started talking about one interesting theme. We were talking about life here generally and what this town offers us to be better here (mostly nothing).

One theme was about should we continue our schooling abroad or magistrate here and work some bad job for bad money. It is interesting that we all are some kind of patriots, but when we think about this more carefully we realize that there is no perspective for young people in Mostar.

Because if we look this with more reality we will realize that at this moment there is nothing in Mostar what would occupy young people minds from the drugs a nonsense drinking on some bad parties. I and we all know that situation in our town will be better and better, but when? I don't need cinema and some great discotheque when I'm forty years old, because than I'll be really old for that kind of things. What I and all young people in this town need is something where we can released our energy and some kind of revolt that lives in us (don't suggest some kind of labor actions because I didn't mean that kind of releasing energy). Although I was in Mostar during the war and that I liked this town more than anything else on this world I think that Mostar had become perfect place to commit suicide.

My spirit needs something more and it can't live among few cafes and annually parties that have been held only occasionally. Just tonight I heard that we would have HiP-HoP, Dance party in Art cafe . And I thought that it may be not so bad, but (always some BUT) music was so silent that we just had passed by, we didn't dare to ask anybody was that right place. Another problem in Mostar, but not only in Mostar also in Zenica and in other towns, is that everybody is in the house till the 10 o'clock. I should return to the theme from the beginning of this story.

Isn't better to go somewhere abroa d where they will respect your knowledge and your requirements and they will take a maximum of you. To go abroad and to study is a cool thing, but that's not it. You have enough money, you have good education, you have beautiful girlfriend (but foreign), but you don't have your company your best friends. You don't have your company to have fun with. You'll have friends but they are only friends of interest.

There will be no shoulder for crying and there will be nobody to give you proper advise how to kill y o urself. That's only thing that keeps me and everybody else here. The best thing is to go out from here finish your studies and to return here with a lot of money.

Than you'll be able to enjoy in everything what will Mostar have by that time. But dreams ar e dreams, and reality is reality. Because you'll need a lot of money for visas, false documents and finally a ticket for example to USA (I have cousin there). I think it's enough of this dark side, I should look for a bright side of this life, outside is raining, I caught cold, I have a lot of to learn for next week, could any thing be better than all this (ha ha ha). And if anyone wants to talk with me about this theme her is my e-mail miran@mostar.ba
