It's no wonder that streets of Mostar are full of people in the
evening. All of them are, after long exhausting day, looking for some
entertainment, but in this place, it's really hard to find it.
Every day is very much the same. Mostar has fallen into some kind of groove
from which it's trying to get out ever since the war, but it's really hard
work, and the progress is very slow.
Every evening river of people flows into its streets trying to put some
changes into the everyday life. These are mostly young people who don't have
many possibilities. Their only option are the coffee-bars, coffee-bars and .
. . more coffe-bars. If they want to make a difference, they can always go
to another cooffe-bars.
Although, they really want to have
some fun, they are no discotheques in the city, for the people of their own
age. If they want to see a movie in the cinema, they can do it, once or
twice a year, when some festival is held. Or perhaps, they want to play
sports? The options are really miserable, and the funds are even more
miserable. So, what can we do? Well, I guess the hope is the only
possibility that is left.
After two or three ours of exhausting walk, or perhaps drinking coffee in
one of the numerous coffee-bars, it's time to go home. It's 11 p.m. and
lights are turning out. And yet, tomorrow is another day, which may be
different from all the previous ones; perhaps we shall drink the COKE
tomorrow, instead of the usual coffee.
