Skydiving experts in aeronautics club, wich has more than 46 years of
work, did not find easy to maintain to staff, licences, parashoets and rest
of equipment during the years of war.
Thanks
to uniti in aeeronautics club, equipment was maintained but with lack of
financial means wich disables the staff to achieve the succes on contests.
In 1994 they have managed to get some financial aid and they joined Open
Parachuting Chapionship of Bulgaria and they managed to achieve very good
results and by those means they were the first sportsmen that broke the
international sanctions against RS, sharing that sport does not recognise
any political boundaries.
After
the Dayton agreement was signed, the members were organised and they started
working in accordance to their limited financial means so that they now
practice jumping from 1200-2000m and RW jumps are rare, but they are still
interested for them.
Parshutes
in use are school parachute ( cups ) PS-02, PS-03, sport parachute (wings)
KLUZ-1, KLUZ-1A and KLUZ-3. Aeronautics club uses aeroplanes UTVA-66 and
CESSNA-172 ( Rocket ) and in cooperation with RS army they use choppers
MI-8. This year the club should get new generation of students.
In
1996 in very hard conditions the club managed, with help from sponsors, to
organise the 1st Open parachuting Championship of Republic Srpska with 7
teams and 34 single jumpers.Cup was organised very good in sport spirit of
skydiving so that they decided to turn it in onnual contest. In 1997 there
was 2nd Open Championships with 50 sportsmen and 10 teams witch included the
Russian (SFOR) military team who won with only 72 negative points. In 1998
there was 3rd Open Championship of Republic Srpska and 1st team of
aeronautics club was 2nd place and best single skydivers was Mladen Palada
and he won 6th place.
The
students are teached by skydiving teacher Muharem Hodjic, man with 25 years
expirience, over 2000 jumps and numerous trophies. It's worth mentioning that
he won the State championship in 1978 and that he was the sportsmen of the
year 1976 in Prijedor. The contestants are trained by team coach momir
Marin, man with over 2000 jumps and with over 20 years in skydiving busines.
The club has another skydiving veteran Mladen Palada with over 2000 jumps
and more than 25 year expiriance.Teams Prijedor 1 and Prijedor 2 include:
Mladenko Indjic, Milan Radakovic, Sinisa Vujakovic, Milos Kantar, Mico
Marin, Zoran Sredic, Lajic Drasko, Jelicic Sasa and Dragan Kecman. We must
also mention our late collegue Nebojsa Mrkalj who ttragically passed away
during the war. With these members the club has no fear for the future.
