Mostar, cultural center of Herzegovina, has always been a center of domestic and foreign public, too. That cultural spirit didn't still even during the war and with the light of a candles theatre plays were held in shelters and i n cellars. They did everything to forget cruel reality just for a second. These plays were at the first for the youngest citizens for who this was an escape from reality and runaway into dreamland. When the war activities stopped the Theatre had started t heir normal everyday activities. At the beginning only the small hall of "Studio 64" was reconstructed and there was enough place only for forty people. This was not enough to satisfy cultural needs of Mostar public, so the large hall of Theatre was reconstructed and number of seats was satisfying for all Theatre fans.

Now, the final works at the theatre front side are completing and the space in front of the building will be decorated, too. Also the Theatre cafe will be reconstructed and this place will again began a meeting place for all artists in Mostar. Reconstructing this building Mostar will get one of the most important institutions of the cultural significance. The picture of the town is every day better and better and Mostar is starting to look just like it looked before the war.
Actors of the Mostar theatre are famous in all parts of the Bosnia and Herzegovina and their starring engagement in all towns in the country pay attention and their plays are well visited. Number of actors is not great but using their versatility they hide all imperfection. Actors are mostly young people who work hard and using their own talent create a place on a stage for themselves. According to my personal opinion being an actor is very interesting because acting somebody else we stop being we and we become just part of the story. Shakespeare has once told that wearing masks we can tell and do everything because all that does the mask.
Way to success is long and hard, but without risk there's no success. That's why all who have some talent or have a great desire to become an actor there's "Theatre of young's" in Mostar. That's a great way to start theatre career.
